GPU Computing

GPU Computing is a trend in parallel computing which utilizes inexpensive multi-threaded Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) available in some modern graphic adapters to perform parallel scientific computations.

In our laboratory, we use NVIDIA CUDA technology, based on GeForce 8/9-series graphic adapters, to perform a modeling of EXAFS spectra by simulated annealing procedure.
